4 Key Plays for Office Training NFL Style

Are you excited about NFL training camp kicking off? Are you keeping up with your team and how it is doing at their training facilities? And dreaming about future Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings finding the best place on your couch or in your favorite chair in front of the TV? If you are, this is a great post for you and this is a great time to put yourself in training at work too. Get in gear. Here are some things to help you out and get started with your training:

1| If you have been saying, “I should do that…” Now is the time to try it out and see if it fits within your routine. Whether it be working out before work in the morning, cooking at night so that you can take leftovers to work the next day and not have to leave to buy lunch, or just making more of an effort getting to know people in the office. Try it, you have nothing to loose.

2| Go ahead, start talking about your favorite team. We have learned that it gains some new conversations that you would not have had otherwise. Football conversations have a common interest and it is good for networking. So stay up-to-date with it, but don’t let it keep you away from work too long.

3| If there is something new to learn, do it. Whether it is a few YouTube videos that you have to watch, staying in-the-know of current events, or signing up for a class to will behoove your career. You will gain the same kind of confidence that your favorite team player is gaining now too. Get better at your skills and expertise, just like they are doing and you will be able to perform better. Maybe you will feel like ESPN should be knocking on your door.

4| Remember to stay active. It promotes creativity and boosts performance at work. Take small breaks to go for a walk or find a lunch class close to your office to go workout. You will find that your concentration after lunch improves and your energy levels will rub off on others.

You can develop a new kind of confidence and motivation just like our NFL stars are doing now. This new confidence, if applied correctly, can become contagious by those around you. Make your work ethic and new training, a style that motivates your team at work. Good luck to you and good luck to your team. We are rooting for you. See you on the playing field soon.  Get updates on NFL training camp here: Bleacher Report, CBS Sports, SB Nation, NFL.com
